Magefy False Eyelashes – 7342-7F-4
Structure: Eyelashes are made up of keratin, a tough and fibrous protein that also forms the building blocks of hair and nails. Each eyelash has a root, a shaft, and a tip. The root is embedded in a small pit called the hair follicle, which is connected to tiny muscles that allow the eyelashes to move. The shaft is the visible part of the eyelash, while the tip is the pointed end.
Growth: Eyelashes grow in three phases: the anagen phase, the catagen phase, and the telogen phase. During the anagen phase, which lasts about 30 to 45 days, the hair follicle is actively growing the eyelash. During the catagen phase, which lasts about two weeks, the eyelash stops growing and the hair follicle shrinks. Finally, during the telogen phase, which lasts about 100 days, the eyelash falls out and a new one begins to grow.
Function: Eyelashes serve several important functions. They help to keep debris and sweat out of the eyes, by acting as a barrier that filters the air. They also help to lubricate the eyes, by trapping moisture and keeping the eyes from drying out. Finally, they enhance the appearance of the eyes, by framing them and drawing attention to their shape and color.
Care: Eyelashes require some basic care to keep them healthy and looking their best. This includes gentle cleansing with a mild, oil-free cleanser, and avoiding rubbing or pulling on the eyelashes. Mascara, eyeliner, and other eye makeup can be used, but should be removed before bedtime to prevent clogging of the hair follicles and potential eye infections. Eyelash extensions and false eyelashes are also popular, but should be applied by a professional to avoid damage to the natural eyelashes.
